Ecosystem Grant - Community Engagement & Rewards

Reporting will most likely happen through ZenDesk. We will release more info on Discord once the program is approved.

Mods will be worldwide and this program helps ensure we have enough.

Can you elaborate more on what you mean by “Can we have incentives which will endure we take care of our mods”?

LetsGO UNI we are happy to hear that special proposal for the mods

Great proposal. The only thing I see is that there might need to be a higher tier bug bounty than 1,000. The team probably knows best on this though.

I agree with this proposal. I also think we should consider retroactively rewarding the current mods at least 1 or 2 months for the hard work they do. The environment they maintain in the Discord chat is very welcoming and accepting. We have had minimal issues with with disgruntled members and they were all handled accordingly from what we can see.

Concerning about Crypto Unicorns Moderator Reward Program

QUESTIONS:

Summary

Do the MOD need to accomplish each criteria for Tier 1 or Tier 2?

As not all MODs are on Telegram or DISCORD does that mean they are not going to be eligible for Tier 2?

Possible to explain about "Value-Adding Community Projects?

I’m assuming it would meant something like doing Translation, Video Guides, Blog-Post related to Projects, Creating Exposure for Projects, Helping the community in other ways that could be counted as Value-Adding?

If a MOD does not accomplish any of the Criteria stated within the Table what would happen to said MOD?

Would it be ideal that the CRITERIA should be set as “MINIMUM REQUIREMENT MET” instead of having needed to accomplish every task for each Tier? Since there are MODs who might spend more time doing certain task instead of every task?

Mods need to meet the time goals and make contributions to each of the channels during the month. It’s expected that mods contribute to each channel but those contributions won’t likely be equal. Discord is our main communication channel so being on Discord is required. Mods that don’t accomplish any of the criteria would not be eligible for rewards for that month. They can reengage in a future month and earn rewards. The team will have more info on value-added projects but those are some good examples.

Appreciate the explanation @Chris_Bourdon_LG

So would the criteria for TELEGRAM considered as priority too? Considering that Tier 2 requires Telegram involvement? Or it could be either one (Between Discord and Telegram)?

As that would set a precedent where non-Telegram MODs who wants to achieve Tier 2 would request from the team be onboarded as MODs on Telegram.

This is part of the ecology, agree with this proposal and also like to want to do these things for the community

Tier 2 requires demonstrating participation in both channels. If a mode would like to aim for Tier 2 rewards then they will need to be onboarded to the Telegram channel.

Tier 1 mods that participate in Telegram are welcome to, but that will not be included in calculating monthly rewards. It’s good feedback though and we will take it under consideration.

Since this proposal will be set in stone for 18 months. I hope that the proposal for Tier 2 on DISCORD & Telegram could be updated where its an option and not mandatory.

Again thanks for the explanation. :grinning:

The proposed grants are absolute must-haves. That’s RBW well spent!

Even though I won’t have time to participate, it’ll be nice to discuss the mechanism of qualifying for moderator. Do we ask each willing participant to sign up, then evaluate their contribution? Or do we monitoring everyone’s contribution and airdrop the reward? Also in case the community is overly enthusiastic and produces too many moderators, a plan for the situation would be nice  we do have a budget afterall.

This measure will make the unicorn community more cohesive, and the team keeps going down this path again, very good choice
