As per the CU Guiding Principles, a special election is held whenever a Governance Council seat becomes vacant.
Details
Nine (9) council seats have just opened for the S5 Governance Council, and a special election will be held. The elected persons will be a part of the S5 Governance Council where they, alongside the 2 @incumbent-council members, will be responsible for determining which Draft Proposals make it to an official Snapshot vote based on proposals’ soundness and completeness. As this is a special election, the newly-elected councilor’s term will end along with the rest of the councilor’s term but will not count towards the two-term limit.
If you are a sCU Holder, you may come forward to file your candidacy by posting a comment below.
Notes:
Given the upcoming closure of the Discord, all governance related activities - including the council review sessions and the council elections shall henceforth be conducted on the forum.
Given that more than half of the council slots are vacant, council review sessions shall be on hold until all councilors are in place.
I would like to nominate, KeizerMC, Dipbeak, Neviolo, Aldan, GloiathRulz, SJ, Forsa, Invoko, Illest, Jbp3, Wasper, Eyolis. All are very familiar with the history of the project and are able to make good decisions for the future based on this willingness.
OK, after thinking on this … I realize that LG is still the manager (or whatever they call themselves today) and with that the community is just a passthrough with no actual power or control over everything but intended to take the blame somehow.
It is clear we had no control over anything in the past; responsible for no funding decisions; and had no control over any actual project assets because the “company” (LG) had all the control and it’s officers.
I’m rejecting nomination to become council member.
LG was always/ still hiding treasury and deliveries related information not just from Community, but also from Council members… They don’t even provide source of partly done deliveries for Community, so anyone could even theoretically continue on making a game…
