I’m late to this discussion and that is my bad. EOY was pretty crazy on end (as you will all see on Jan. 18th)…
I believe the longterm success of the CU IP is predicated on a vast ecosystem getting developed overtime. LG can not do this alone. Both this proposal and the subsequent one from @Dipbeak are exactly what I had hoped to inspire with the kickoff of the second party titles in 2022.
I’m generally in support of any game loops that add value to our ecosystem. I’m happy to see @jbp3’s openness around answering questions as well as iterating on the game design based on feedback.
Regardless of whether one or both game loops pass the council and move on to snapshot vote LG’s plans will not change in terms of the Match-3 TeamRPG game we releasing this year.
A simple outline below but this work is already well underway and planned out.
- 3.1 - Tribes + Gems aka Vertical Progression
- 3.2 - Preparing Tribes for War!
- 4.0 - PvE Team RPG (aka Tribe PvP)
- 5.0 - PvP Team RPG (aka Arena PvP)
I don’t think either loop conflicts with the gameplay we have planned (which was prototyped, playtested, and voted on by the community).
